The Tournament

A fixture of France–India sporting cooperation

The Indo-French Football Tournament is IFSA's flagship programme — a youth competition that brings French and Indian academies onto the same pitch, off it as much as on it. Two editions in Paris built the format; the third brings it to India for the first time.

Across 26 October to 1 November 2026, U-18 squads from both countries meet across a week of matches, training and exchange. It sits on a year of quiet groundwork: a signed Letter of Intent with the Ligue Nationale de Basket, academic pathways opening between Indian universities and French institutions, and a partnership map that now reaches from federations to clubs to the classroom.

Sport is our common language between our two countries — and this tournament is where it is spoken most clearly.

Why It Matters

More than a tournament

Every match is a point of contact between two football cultures — a pathway for young players, a working relationship between institutions, and a piece of the wider France–India partnership that IFSA has built since 2019. The pitch is where it all becomes visible.
